Fervo Energy has promoted Sarah Jewett to Chief Operating Officer, where she will take leadership of the company’s corporate operations and help create the infrastructure required to execute ‘the most significant commercial opportunity for clean, firm power in history’.
Jewett’s promotion follows six years of foundational leadership at Fervo where she has led some of the company’s most critical workstreams.
CEO and Co-Founder Tim Latimer said, “What Sarah has built over the last six years has been foundational to the company’s success. From the first time she joined, she has brought an unwavering people-first mindset and outstanding dedication to building things that last. As we move into the next phase of our growth, there is no better person to lead the operating core of this company.”
Jewett brings a wealth of experiences to the COO role: her 20s were spent running hydraulic fracturing crews for SLB across some of the most demanding environments in the US, and she has logged direct experience managing well sites, equipment and materials logistics, and field crews.
Prior to joining Fervo in 2020 to lead the strategy department, Jewett worked in corporate development and strategic initiatives for Select Energy Services.
Her promotion comes as Fervo accelerates the commercial deployment of its GeoBlock and GeoCluster standardised EGS development model, aimed at driving down the cost curve of geothermal to the same as the manufacturing-driven standardisation enabled for solar PV.
