Arverne Group

Arverne Group has announced the commencement of geothermal drilling activities in Schwabwiller through its subsidiary, Lithium de France

The project aims to generate both renewable thermal energy and lithium.

This development marks a significant step forward in Arverne’s growth trajectory, following the successful acquisition of environmental and building permits.

The first phase of the project includes civil engineering groundwork at the site. Full-scale geothermal drilling is scheduled to start after the summer. Subject to further regulatory approvals, this will be followed by the construction of a heat power plant and the installation of a demonstration facility designed to evaluate both the lithium resource and the efficiency of the company’s innovative Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) process.

Arverne Group has committed to maintaining transparent communication with local stakeholders throughout the duration of the project.

Pierre Brossollet, Founder and CEO of Arverne Group, stated, “These initial works bring our ambition to life: making geothermal energy a tangible solution to the major challenges of decarbonization. They also represent a big step toward more energy sovereignty for our country.”
